Kelsey Bittinger posted 29.5 points (4.92/set) and 26 kills (4.33/set) while hitting .354 to lead the offense and added 25 digs (4.17/set) and 4 blocks (0.67/set) defensively during Kent State's two matches this past weekend. After a close loss to Buffalo on Friday, Bittinger came out on fire in Saturday’s rivalry match against Akron. She had five kills in the opening set and added six more in the second. One of 30 women’s volleyball student-athletes selected as a candidate for the prestigious Senior CLASS Award®, Bittinger now ranks third on Kent State’s career kills list (1,421) and fifth on the career digs list (1,276).
