HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: A 1950 graduate of Cleveland West Technical High School where he lettered in football…KSU CAREER: Earned three Varsity “K’s” on the gridiron for coach Trevor Reese in 1951, ’52, and ’53…Selected to the All-Mid American Conference First Team as a tackle in 1952 and 1953…All Ohio Collegiate team choice in 1953…Earned his bachelor’s degree in education in 1955 and his master’s degree in 1962 from Kent…POST KSU CAREER: Drafted by the then Chicago Cardinals of the National Football League and retired following the 1954 season due to an injury…Continued his education and earned his PhD from Syracuse in 1976…Taught in the Cleveland School System at Cleveland East Tech, Cleveland Heights, and Warrensville Heights and in the New Jersey Public School System at Wall Township…PERSONAL: Was born on September 16, 1932 in Washington D.C….Was honorable discharged from the United States Army in 1956…Is currently the Associate Dean of the Teacher’s College of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska…He and his wife Audrey have six children, Michael, Mark, Daniel, Michelle, Patricia, and Kathleen…He enjoys officiating wrestling.
