Mike Inge Qualifies For The NCAA Championships At The Doug Raymond Invitational

Junior Keith Roberts (Bellefontaine, Ohio/Bellefontaine) remained unbeaten in the 60-meter hurdles winning his fifth straight title in 8.06. Senior Jared Vogler (Williamsville, N.Y./Sweet Home) took third in 8.49.
In a photo finish in the 60 meters, senior Otis Jordan (Detroit, Mich/Bishop Gallagher) turned in another strong performance finishing second in 6.90. Senior Ofer Barniv (Kent, Ohio/Roosevelt), running unattached, took second in the mile (4:08.47).
Junior Marc Mitchell (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) led the field athletes leaping 22-5.25 to take third.
On the womens side, junior Alanna Dreussi (Canton, Ohio/Glen Oak) was the lone winner for the Golden Flashes taking the high jump with a leap of 5-5. Freshman Megan Bair (Canton, Ohio/Canton South) was third (5-3). Also in the vertical jumps, sophomore Jackie Rodgers (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) lept a season-best 12-6 to take second in the pole vault and freshman E.J. Boxall was third in 11-6.25.
In the long jump junior Colleen Ramharak (Toronto, Ontario/Oakwood Collegiate Institute) was second in 17-11 and classmate Breann Smith (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) also took second in the shot put (45-5.75) rounding out the top performers in the field.
On the track the threesome of senior Kelly Green (Newbury, Ohio/Burton Berkshire), junior Jennifer Fascione (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) and junior Erin Corrigan (Middleburg Heights, Ohio/Cuyahoga C.C.) led the women with their performance in the 800 meters. The three either cracked the top-10 indoor performance list or bettered their times on the rankings. Greens third-place time of 2:11.82 and Fasciones fourth-place mark of 2:12.67 improved their sixth and seventh-best standards, respectively. Corrigans sixth-place time of 2:15.24 set the ninth-best mark.

Kent States indoor track and field teams, will be in action next weekend (Feb. 6-7) at the Meyo Invitational in Notre Dame, Ind.
