Inge, Green Lead Flashes On The Final Day of The Sykes/Sabcock Cup

The men finished fifth with 78 points and the women eighth with 36 points. The University of Michigan men took top honors (118 points), while the Penn State women won the team title (158.33 points).
Senior Kelly Green (Newbury, Ohio/Burton Berkshire) led the women winning the 800 meters in 2:10.10, just missing the provisional NCAA standard of 2:09.00. Greens time also moved her to fourth on the all-time indoor list. Senior Stephanie Snyder (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) took ninth in the 3000 meters in a personal-best 9:59.68, bettering her fourth-place ranking.
The team of junior Erin Corrigan (Middleburg, Ohio/Cuyahoga C.C.), junior Lauren Richard (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights), junior Tessa Shagovac (Amherst, Ohio/Steele) and Green ran the fifth-fastest indoor 4x400 relay in school history, taking eighth in 3:47.93.
Leading the jumpers was junior Colleen Ramharak (Toronto, Ontario/Oakwood C.I.) who finished fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 40-4.
Sophomore Mike Inge (Elyria, Ohio/Elyria) paced the men on day two winning the 800 meters in 1:48.09 and freshman Ray Armstrong (Elyria, Ohio/Elyria) finished seventh in 1:52.24, good for fifth-best in indoor history.
In the field, sophomore Phil Rickaby (N.S.W, Australia/Winmalee) was second in the triple jump with a personal-best leap of 48-00.50 and classmate Brent Shelby (Westlake, Ohio/Westlake) took fifth in the shot put (52-4).
Senior Otis Jordan (Detroit, Mich./Bishop Gallagher) led the sprinters finishing fifth in the 200 meters (21.83).
Both teams will be in action next weekend when the Golden Flashes host the Kent State Tune-Up (Feb. 21) at the Kent State University Fieldhouse.
