Men's Golf 10th After Opening Round of National Invitational Tournament

The tournament is being played at Omni Tucson National Golf Course, a par-72, 7,094-yard layout. The first round individual leader is Ryan Moore from UNLV, who shot 64.
Junior Steve Lohmeyer (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) shot a team-low even-par 72, carding matching 36s on the front and back sides. He was as low as -2 through 16 holes, but bogeyed the 17th and 18th to finish at even, tied for 15
Senior Chris Miller (New Philadelphia, Ohio/New Philadelphia) and sophomore Ryan Yip (Calgary, Alberta/Bishop Carroll) each fired 73 (+1), in 28th place. Miller was red-hot on the front nine, going out in four-under 32, which included birdies on the opening two holes and the seventh and eighth, before a birdie at 10 got him to -5. But a double bogey at 11 and three more on holes 16-18 brought him to 73. Yip played a steady back nine, posting an even-par 36 on the inward holes.
Freshman Marc Bourgeois (Dieppe, New Brunswick/Mathieu-Martin) and junior Peter Laws (Mississauga, Ontario/Our Lady of Mount Carmel) each carded 75 (+3) and are tied for 43rd Laws played the back nine in one-under 35, while Bourgeois was also solid on the back, posting an even-par 36.
The second round of the National Invitational Tournament is tomorrow, March 29.
