
Golden Flashes Hold Fifth Heading Into Final Round of MAC Championship

The Kent State Herb Page men's golf team sits in a tie for fifth after the second round of the Mid-American Conference Championship at Holliday Farms, posting a 19-over par 303 in Round 2 to move to 39-over 607 for the tournament.
Eastern Michigan continues to lead the team race at 16-over, followed by Miami (OH) at 17-over and Northern Illinois at 25-over. Central Michigan holds fourth at 35-over, with Kent State knotted at 39-over alongside Bowling Green and Ball State in a three-way tie for fifth.
Nolan Haynes paces the Golden Flashes, tied for 10th at 6-over 148 after carding his second straight 3-over 74. Liam Curtis posted the team's low round of the day with a 1-over 72, climbing 10 spots into a tie for 12th at 7-over 149. Curtis was the only Kent State golfer to break par on either nine in Round 2.
Darcy Hogg and Christoffer Leuenhagen are tied for 34th at 16-over 158, while James Newton sits 40th at 18-over 160.
Patrick Raupp of Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan's Joshua Hess share the individual lead at even-par 142, with Toledo's Bence Kotel and Eastern Michigan's Rory O'Brien tied for third at 3-over 145.
