Conners and Pendrith Set to Play in President’s Cup on Thursday

KENT, Ohio – Kent State Herb Page Men's Golf team alums Corey Conners and Taylor Pendrith are competing in the President's Cup this week in suburban Chicago.
This year's President's Cup is at the Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois, with practice rounds taking place today and tomorrow, and the tournament rounds ranging from Thursday, Sept. 24 through Sunday, Sept. 27. Conners and Pendrith are both Canadian and are competing for the International Team. Pendrith has been named a Captain's Assistant for Geoff Oglivy and will be a key part of the group's leadership team.
Conners and Pendrith are both competing in their third consecutive President's Cup tournament. Both golfers have a 2-7 all-time record at the President's Cup with all of their victories coming in 2024's Royal Montreal event.
As a Golden Flash, Conners was a three-time first-team All-MAC selection, two-time MAC Golfer of the Year, an all-region golfer, and a PING All-American. Perhaps his greatest Kent State career highlight was finishing in 4th place at the 2012 NCAA Golf Championships.
Pendrith's Kent State accolades include being named to three first-team All-MAC squads, winning the 2013 MAC Tournament individual title, being named to two all-region teams, and making the PING All-American team. Pendrith also finished in 3rd place in the 2013 NCAA Golf Championships.
Overall, Conners and Pendrith have been two of the most successful Kent State Golf alums of all time, both collegiately and professionally, and their appearance in the 2026 President's Cup continues their legacy.
