Inge, Weisz Cap Season At NCAA Track & Field Championships

Sophomore Mike Inge (Elyria, Ohio/Elyria) capped a spectacular sophomore season finishing 22nd in the 800 meters, missing the cut to qualify with a time of 1:50.67. On the season, Inge set school records in both the indoor and outdoor 800 and earned All-America Honors during the indoor season. Inge will now set his sights on qualifying for the 2004 Olympic Trials, which will take place later this summer, in the 800.
Senior Peter Weisz (Tatabanya, Hungary/Veszprem) capped a fantastic KSU career in the 3000-meter steeplechase placing 26th in 9:32.46. Arguably the greatest steeplechaser in school history Weisz qualified for two NCAA Track & Field Championships and holds the school record with a time of 8:48.00.
Junior Colleen Ramharak (Toronto, Ontario/Oakwood C.I.) is the final KSU athlete at the championships and will compete in the triple jump prelims Friday, June 11 at 6:15 p.m.
