Inge Ranked No. 1 In The Nation In The 800 Meters

KENT, Ohio - Mike Inge (Jr., Elyria, Ohio/Elyria) is the top-ranked 800-meter runner in the nation for the week ending Feb. 6, with a mark of 1:48.05 according to the Trackshark.com mens Division I performance list.
Inge recorded his nation-best mark at the Doug Raymond Invitational (Feb. 5), winning the 800 meters (1:48.05) while provisionally qualifying for the NCAA Indoor Championships (March 11-12) in Fayetteville, Ark.
Inges latest effort comes on the heels of an impressive sophomore campaign which saw him capture NCAA Indoor All-America Honors in his signature event (800) and finish ninth at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials. He also holds the KSU school record in both the indoor 800 (1:47.77) and the outdoor 800 (1:47.23).
Inge and the rest of the men return to action next weekend at the Sykes-Sabock Invitational (Feb. 11-12) in State College, Pa.
