Track And Field Concludes Action At The Last Chance Meet

KENT, Ohio The Kent State mens and womens indoor track and field teams concluded the Last Chance Meet in South Bend, Ind., March 5, posting one automatic NCAA mark and two other NCAA provisional marks.
Colleen Ramharak (Sr., Toronto, Ontario/Oakwood) won the triple jump with a school-record distance of 43-10.75. Ramharaks mark breaks her previous record of 42-11.75 and ranks her fourth in the nation, while automatically qualifying her for the 2005 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships (March 11-12) in Fayetteville, Ark.
Breann Smith (Sr., Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) placed second in the shot put with a NCAA provisional qualifying distance of 52-9.50. Smiths throw is the second farthest toss in KSU indoor history and ranks her 11th nationally.
Jeanna Fascione (Sr., North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) rounded out the provisional qualifiers for the Golden Flashes, finishing fourth in the 800 meters in a personal-best 2:08.27. Fasciones time ranks her fourth in KSU history and 22nd nationally.
Marc Johnson (So., Middletown, Ohio/Middletown) stood out on the mens side finishing third in the 60 meters with a season-best time 6.75.
