Kent State-Akron Time Changed for FOX Sports Net Ohio

The game will be telecast live from Dix Stadium on FOX Sports Net Ohio and Comcast Local, with Michael Reghi (play-by-play), Bob Chmiel (analyst) and Jeff Phelps (sideline) calling the action.
Kent State and Akron will battle for the Wagon Wheel for the 49th time, with Akron holding a 27-19-2 advantage.
The Golden Flashes will look to rebound from a 1-10 (0-8 MAC) season last year. KSU returns 18 starters and 46 letterwinners and was picked to finish fifth in the MAC East Division this season. Kent State will open the season Aug. 31, when Minnesota visit Dix Stadium for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. It is the first-ever visit by a Big Ten opponent to Kent.
Akron is coming off one of the most successful seasons in school history, posting a 7-6 record en route to its first MAC title and appearance in the Motor City Bowl. The Zips return 16 starters from last years team which won its first-ever league title with a thrilling 31-30 victory over NIU in the MAC Championship game in Detroit. That win secured a berth in the Zips first-ever Division I-A bowl game, the Motor City Bowl.
