Nine Flashes earn All-MAC Track and Field Honors

Seven men and two women from the 2006-07 indoor track and field team were honored for their performances at the Mid-American Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships last weekend at the
For the men's team, seniors Chris Caine (Munroe Falls, Ohio/Toledo) and Marc Johnson (Middletown, Ohio/Middletown), junior Jaroslaw Zakrzewski (Gdansk, Poland/), and freshman Jeremy Brading (Brownsburg, In./Brownsburg) each earned first team honors. Seniors Mike Inge (
Caine finished first in the heptathlon with a provisional qualifying total of 5,338 points. Johnson won the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.67 seconds. Brading took top honors in the pole vault with a provisional qualifying leap of 17'-1 ½”. Zakrzewski finished first in the weight throw with a personal-best distance of 66'-11 ½”.
Inge finished second in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.69. Rickaby placed second in the long jump with a leap of 24'-9 ¼”. Eaton Jr. was second in the 400 meters with a team season-best time of 48.13 seconds.
