Golden Flashes To Appear Twice On Fox Sports Net

KENT, Ohio - More than half of Kent State's 12 regular season football contests will now be broadcast on television with Wednesday's announcement that Fox Sports Net will carry a pair of the Golden Flashes' games this season. Both the Oct. 11 Homecoming clash with Ohio and the Nov. 28 regular season finale at Buffalo will air on the network.
Fans should please note that the Oct. 11 broadcast will push kickoff to 2:30 p.m. - a half hour later than the originally scheduled time. The 2:00 p.m. kick at Buffalo remains unchanged. Here is a complete list of Kent State's television appearances for the 2008 season:

Kent State opens the 2008 season on Saturday, Aug. 30 in Cleveland Browns Stadium against Boston College in the FirstMerit Patriot Bowl. The game will air live on ESPNU and is slated for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. The Flashes, who return 14 starters, then open the home portion of their schedule Saturday, Sept. 13 with a Heroes' Day game against Delaware State at 2:00 p.m. The contest will feature a tribute to the passengers and crew of United Flight 93 while also honoring members of the armed forces as well as local police, fire and rescue squads. The day will conclude with a postgame concert and fireworks. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the KSU Ticket Office at (330) 672-2244.
