Bedelyon Named Final MAC Wrestler of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Sophomore Nic Bedelyon (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley HS) was named the final Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week after a dominating win over ninth-ranked Scotti Sentes of Central Michigan 9-3 Thursday (Feb, 19).
Bedelyon avenged an early season fall to Sentes in the finals of the Oklahoma Gold 125-pound championship. This time, Bedelyon led from start to finish and won 9-3. He scored a takedown in every period, added two near fall points in the second and had the riding point while only allowing three escapes. Kent State would go on to defeat Central Michigan 18-14 for the regular season Mid-American Conference title.
The match was Bedelyon's 50th win of his KSU career and he is now 23-7 in 2008-09, winning 17 out of his last 20 matches.
