Henderson named MAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Senior LeVania Henderson (Westland, Mich./Churchill) was honored for her performance at the Kent State Quad (1/30) when she was selected as the Mid-American Conference Indoor Track and Field Women's Field Athlete of the Week.

Henderson registered two provisional qualifying marks in winning the women's weight throw and shot put at the Kent State Quad on Friday (1/30). Henderson had a toss of 62'-3” in the weight throw and 51'-11.25” in the shot put. Her mark in the weight throw ranks third on the Golden Flashes' all-time indoor track and field list. She now holds three of the top four spots on that list. Henderson's toss in the shot put ranks fourth on KSU's all-time indoor list. This is the second consecutive week that Henderson has had a provisional mark in the weight throw as she recorded a season-best 62'-6” at the Akron Dual last weekend.

Henderson was also selected as the Kent State Athlete of the Week for her performance.
