Hahn Named Kent State Athlete of the Week

KENT, Ohio - Sophomore John Hahn (Hudson, Ohio) was named Kent State Athlete of the Week after winning the Towson Invitational this past weekend. The Kent State men's golf team also finished first in the 17-team field with an 11-under 853, 25 strokes ahead of runner-up William & Mary.
After four career runner-ups, Hahn finally broke through for his first victory after shooting a five-under par 211 (68-73-70). After the first day, Hahn was the early leader with a 4-under par 68 for a two stroke lead. He shot a 73 (+1) in round two, but claimed the title from teammates Nick Latimer (Brooklyn, Ohio/Brooklyn) and Mackenzie Hughes (Dundas, Ontario (Highland Secondary) by two strokes with a final-round score of 70 (-2).
The Kent State men's golf team returns to action this weekend when it travels to Augusta, Ga. to participate in the Administaff ASU Invitational.
