Dumitrescu Named MAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND - Sophomore Diana Dumitrescu has been named the Mid-American Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after her performance in the pentathlon at the Penn State National this past weekend.
Dumitrescu placed fourth overall (first among attached collegiate athletes) in a very competitive field with a NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 3,902. The point total is the highest in the MAC this season and is a top-10 mark in the country.
The Kent State Track and Field teams return to action this weekend (Feb. 5-6) when they travel to South Bend, Ind. for the Annual Meyo Invitational.
