Hahn Honored With First MAC Golfer of the Week Award This Season

Kent State senior honored for the ninth time in his
career
KENT, Ohio – Kent State senior golfer John Hahn
(Las Vegas, Nev./Hudson H.S. [Ohio]) was named the first
Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week this season after
winning medalist honors at the Gopher Invitational on Monday.
Just two weeks off a sweet 16 finish at the U.S. Amateur, Hahn
began the 2010-11 collegiate season in style. Shooting a -10, 206
(68-67-71), Hahn claimed individual medalist honors in the first
tournament of the year to lead the Golden Flashes to a second place
finish at the Sixth Annual Gopher Invitational. A two-time
All-American, Hahn earns his four career win tying him for third
place in Kent State history with current Nationwide Tour member,
Jon Mills (1997-01). The win came in dominating fashion as he ended
six shots ahead of the next closest competitor and was one of just
four players in the 60-man field to shoot under par for the
tournament.
The award marks the ninth time in his career that Hahn has been
recognized as MAC Golfer of the Week.
