KENT, Ohio – Kent State women's soccer received its first postseason honors this week when College Sports Madness selected its Mid-American Conference All-Conference teams.
Junior forward Jaclyn Dutton (Bridgeport, Ohio) was tabbed College Sports Madness' MAC offensive player of the year as well as a first-team performer. Sophomore forward Stephanie Haugh (Richmond Hill, Ontario), senior midfielder Sara Henderson (Strongsville, Ohio) and senior defender Hannah Newhouse (Strongsville, Ohio) all garnered second-team accolades from College Sports Madness. Haugh's 11 assists this year is tied for a team season record, while Henderson has scored back-to-back game-winning goals heading into the MAC semifinals. Newhouse has played every minute this season as a defender, helping the team post nine shutouts.
The official Mid-American Conference all-conference teams, including specialty awards and all-freshman team, will be announced later this week.
