Men's Golf Heads South For Louisiana Classics Monday amp; Tuesday

The No. 21 ranked Golden Flashes are headed south for the 27th Annual Louisiana Classics hosted by Louisiana Layafette at Oakbourne Country Club this week on Monday & Tuesday. Follow the action live through www.golfstat.com
Format
The 54-hole event features 15 teams with a shotgun start slated for both Monday (36 holes) and Tuesday (18 holes) at 8 a.m. Oakbourne is a par 72, 6898 yard lay-out.
Golden Flashes Line-Up
Representing the Golden Flashes this week are senior Mackenzie Hughes, junior Kevin Miller, sophomores Taylor Pendrith, Corey Conners and freshman Nick Scott.
The Field
There are nine teams inside of the top 60 here, with three of them in the top 30. The complete field includes Houston, No. 27 Illinois, Kansas, No, 21 Kent State, No. 25 LSU, No. 43 Memphis, N.C. State, No. 45 SMU, South Alabama, Southeastern La., Southern Miss, Texas State, Tulsa and UTSA.
Kent State at the Louisiana Classics
This will be Kent State's second straight year in the event. Led by individual medalist John Hahn, the Golden Flashes placed fourth with a three round score of 871 (295-278-298) last spring.

Tuesday: Times of clouds and sun. Highs in the low 70s.

The Golden Flashes will travel back out to California March 22-23 for the Barona Collegiate Cup in Lakeside, Calif.
