Three Golden Flashes In The Hunt At Canadian Men's Amateur

Cumberland, ONATRIO - Defending champion and recent Kent State graduate Mackenzie Hughes tops the leaderboard after three rounds of play at the Camelot Golf and Country Club in Ontario.
Paced by Thursday's 7-under, 65 Hughes heads into the final round on Friday at 12-under, 204 (72-67-65) and holding a one shot lead over Chris Hemmerich. Looming not far behind in third are rising Kent State juniors Corey Conners at 9-under, 207 (71-67-69) and Taylor Pendrith at 8-under, 208 (72-66-70).
The Kent State trio all entered the event ranked among the top five amateur golfers in Canada.

Hughes won the event last season and earned an exemption to the 2012 PGA RBC Canadian Open this past July.
