
Curtis Leads Kent State to 11th at Hootie at Bulls Bay

AWENDAW, S.C. – First-year Liam Curtis paced the Kent State Herb Page men's golf team with a 24th-place finish at the Hootie at Bulls Bay, leading the Golden Flashes to an 11th-place team result in the three-round event.
Curtis posted rounds of 70 in the opening round and 69 in the finale to finish at 2-under-par for the tournament. Isaiah Ibit turned in a 44th-place showing at 2-over-par, highlighted by a second-round 70. Darcy Hogg closed with an even-par final round to finish at 4-over-par in 53rd place, while Nolan Haynes opened with an even-par first round before finishing at 7-over-par in 65th. Ramiro Acevedo rounded out the Kent State contingent at 12-over-par.
South Carolina's Frankie Harris claimed medalist honors at 12-under-par, and the College of Charleston captured the team title at 35-under-par.
The Golden Flashes will take a short break before returning to the course on April 11th at the Robert Kepler Invitational in Columbus.
