CLEVELAND, Ohio — Kent State senior Taylor Pendrith was named Mid-American Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Thursday (Oct. 3).
Pendrith shot 5-under, 208 (67-73-68) to take the runner-spot in a highly-competitive field at the Jack Nicklaus Invitational over the weekend. He finished just one stroke behind California's Brandon Hagy, No. 7 in Golfweek's rankings, for individual medalist honors. Pendrith finished ahead of three individuals in Golfweek's Top 25, including 2013 Consensus National Player of the Year Michael Kim of top-ranked California, to help Kent State tie for fourth place.
The Golden Flashes will be off until Oct. 11 when they travel to The Ridges in Johnson City, Tenn. for the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate.
