Kent State Wraps Up Day One of Puerto Rico Classic in 12th

RIO GRANDE, P.R. – The Kent State women's golf team sits in 12th place after round one of the 54-hole Lady Puerto Rico Classic at Rio Mar Country Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
The Golden Flashes posted a 24-over 312 among the 15-team field, with sophomore Jennifer Ha leading the way with a 75 after the first 18 holes. The Calgary native's 3-over par first round puts her in a tie for 22nd in the 84-player field.
Freshman Josee Doyon recorded a 76 (4-over) for a share of 39th place, and senior Jackie Yanch carded an 80 (8-over) for 67th. Also, junior Erin Hawe posted an 81 (9-over) for 70th, while notching a team-high four birdies, and sophomore Natalie Goodson shot an 85 (13-over) to tie for 79th.
Arkansas leads the tournament after the first day of play with a 3-over 291. Alabama and Texas Christian are tied for second with 5-over 293, and Texas Tech is in fourth, turning in an 8-over 296.
Individually, Arkansas' Emily Tubert is in the lead with a 2-under 70, while Auburn's Carlie Yadlocky and TCU's Kortnie Maxoutopoulis are tied for second with 72.
