KENT, Ohio – Kent State junior Veronika Kedronová was named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America Second Team, the association announced Tuesday. Kedronová, a junior from Rožnov pod Radhoštem, Czech Republic, is the only golfer from a Mid-American Conference institution to earn first or second-team recognition.
The honor caps the finest individual season in recent program history. Kedronová is ranked No. 22 nationally by Clippd after posting a 70.0 adjusted scoring average across 32 rounds, with four wins and four top-three finishes. Her victories came at the Canadian Collegiate, the Landfall Tradition, the Lady Luck Invitational, and the MAC Championship.
Kedronová earned back-to-back MAC Golfer of the Year honors and First Team All-MAC recognition for the third straight season (2024, 2025, 2026). At the conference championship, she shot a 7-under 203 to win medalist honors by five strokes, leading the Golden Flashes to their 27th consecutive conference title at Firestone Country Club's Fazio Course.
Her record-setting campaign included a new program mark for 54-hole score. At the Landfall Tradition, Kedronová posted three consecutive rounds in the 60s, including a 7-under-par 65 in round two, to record the fifth individual win of her career over a 96-player field by a seven-stroke margin and set a program record for 54-hole score at 13-under-par 203, surpassing the mark of 204 that had stood since 2016.
Kedronová also became the first Golden Flash to qualify for the U.S. Women's Open during her college career, winning a 36-hole qualifier at New Albany Country Club with a 1-under 143. The 81st U.S. Women's Open will be played June 4-7 at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California.
