Spots Remain for Golden Flashes Volleyball Summer Camps

Come join Head Coach Don Gromala and the Kent State volleyball staff at their upcoming summer camps!!! The Golden Flashes will be hosting five camps at the M.A.C. Center and M.A.C.C. Annex during the first two weeks of July.
The final spots for each camp are filling fast. The deadline for registration is June 24. More than 300 campers attempted Kent State's camps last year.
The camps will provide you with advanced training while building volleyball IQ and creating the complete volleyball camp experience. Campers will learn new techniques and strategies, make new friends, and have a ton of fun as well. Training is overseen by Kent State's knowledgeable coaching staff, with added instruction from our current and former Golden Flash volleyball players.

Specialty Camp: Passing and Serving (July 6, 2013)
Emphasis:
Single-day clinic will teach the fundamentals of passing and serving, including tips and tricks on ways to improve and compete at their position.
Time:
1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Age:
12-19 years old
Cost:
$50 per camper
Specialty Camp: Hitting and Setting (July 7, 2013)
Emphasis:
Single-day clinic will teach the fundamentals of hitting and setting, including tips and tricks on ways to improve and compete at their position.

1 p.m.-4 p.m.

12-19 years old
Cost:
$50 per camper
Individual Youth Camp (July 6-7, 2013)
Emphasis:
This camp is open to all boys and girls from ages 4-12 years old who are looking to improve their overall volleyball skills or begin to learn the game of volleyball. Ball handling, hitting, setting, and serving skills will be covered each day. Campers will learn the techniques and systems used by the Kent State volleyball team on a daily basis. Instruction will be provided by Kent State coaches and players.

Children ages 4-12
Cost:
$80 per camper for both days
$40 per camper for only one day
Team Competition Mini-Camp (July 8, 2013)
Grade:
High school (grades 9 – 12)
Time:
5 p.m.-8 p.m.
Cost:
$25 per camper
Competition Retreat Team Camp July 9-11, 2013)
Teams:
Minimum of 8 players per team (1st coach's room and board included in the price of the camp; 2nd coach is $50 if spending the night).
Grade:
Varsity and Junior Varsity (grades 9 – 12)
Cost:
Resident campers: $2,200 per team of 8; $275 per additional camper
- Includes tuition, dorm room, meals, camp t-shirt, and game ticket for a future Kent State volleyball match.
Commuter campers: $1,800 per team of 8; $225 per additional camper
- Includes tuition, all meals except breakfast, camp t-shirt, and game ticket for a future Kent State volleyball match.
Guarantee:
Teams will receive 7 sessions of skills training with a Kent State coach present at each session, team bonding activities, and at least 10 matches. Instruction will be given in team systems and provide many opportunities to develop your team for the upcoming season.

Elite Individual Camp (July 12-14, 2013)
Emphasis:
Campers will receive position-specific training from our experienced camp staff of college and club coaches. Campers will be grouped according to ability and given individualized instruction by position.
Age:
12-19 years old
Cost:
Overnight: $300.00 per camper
Commuter: $250.00 per camper
Meals:
Each resident camper will be provided all meals. Commuter campers are responsible for their own meals.
