Marsh Earns Another MAC Wrestler of the Week Honor

CLEVELAND – Kent State junior Caleb Marsh (Marysville, Ohio) was named Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week Wednesday after going 3-0 at the NWCA National Duals Feb. 16-17 inside St. John Arena.

In the Golden Flashes' 19-16 upset of No. 17 Iowa State, Marsh defeated No. 8 Tanner Weatherman 8-7. Later on Sunday, Marsh earned a 12-1 major decision over Ohio State's Jacob Bresciani.

On Monday, Marsh defeated No. 25 Tony Dallago of Illinois 9-6.

"Caleb is starting to attack more and he's really got his offense going," Head Coach Jim Andrassy said.

Marsh became just the second MAC wrestler to earn a pair of Wrestler of the Week nods this season. His first selection came on Jan. 15.

Heading into Friday night's tilts with No. 9 Missouri and No. 13 Edinboro, Marsh carries a record of 14-6 in dual meets.

In addition to Friday's duals, Kent State's M.A.C. Center will also host the 2014 Mid-American Conference Championships March 8-9.
