Gymnastics Heads to Ball State Friday

Kent State's gymnastics team travels to Muncie, Ind. on Friday, February 21 at 7 p.m. to take on Ball State in the Cardinals' Think Pink meet.
No. 25 Kent State … 7-1, 4-0 MAC
The Golden Flashes enter the competition with Ball State after defeating Central Michigan for control of first place in the MAC. Kent State beat the Chippewas 195.525-195.500 on Sunday, February 16 in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
MAC Gymnast of the week (Feb. 18) Marie Case led the Flashes as she set career high's in the all-around (39.475) and on the uneven bars, 9.875 as she tied her balance beam personal best with a 9.925.
Case took first in the all-around and the balance beam, tied for first on the uneven bars while she tied for second on the floor exercise with a 9.900. Case tied for third on the vault with a score of 9.775.
Ball State … 3-7, 0-4 MAC
The Cardinals enter the Think Pink meet on Friday on a five meet skid, with their most recent to Southeast Missouri on Friday, February 14 in Cape Girardeau, Mo., 191.850-191.050.
Denasiha Christian led Ball State, as she took first on the vault (9.850) and on the floor exercise (9.825). Jessica Leko set a new career high to win the balance beam (9.725).
