Women's Basketball Hosts Western Michigan on Alumni Day

Kent State (3-13, 1-4 MAC) will welcome Western Michigan (11-6, 4-2 MAC) to the M.A.C Center Saturday afternoon for a 2 p.m. contest. Former players will be in attendance and will be recognized during the game as part of the Golden Flashes' Alumni Day.

The Matchup
• Kent State is 30-22 all-time against Western Michigan
• The Flashes took last season's lone matchup 57-48 on the road
• The Broncos won in 2013 in Kent, but the Flashes won the four games previous to that and seven of the last ten meetings
• In conference play, Western Michigan beat Akron, Ohio and Bowling Green at home and Buffalo on the road. The team's two losses came at Ball State and home against Toledo
MAC Standings
• Kent State is currently in 4th place in the East Division and 10th overall in the conference
• Through all games the team leads the MAC in rebounding defense and ranks 4th in rebounding margin, 3rd in blocked shots, 3rd in offensive rebounds and also lead in offensive rebound percentage
• Individually, CiCi Shannon is 3rd in the MAC in field goal percentage, 1st in blocks and 5th in offensive rebounds
• Krista White is 4th in steals

• Kent State will once again join women's basketball teams across the nation in hosting a Play 4 Kay game to raise awareness for breast cancer
• The Golden Flashes' will host their annual pink game on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m.
• The team asks for all fans in attendance to wear pink in support of the Kay Yow Foundation
