The PNC Wagon Wheel Challenge comes to the court Saturday afternoon when the Golden Flashes (3-15, 1-6 MAC) visit the Zips (15-4, 5-3) at 2 p.m.

The Matchup
• Kent State holds a commanding 48-11 record over Akron all-time
• The Zips have won the last four meetings
• The Golden Flashes last won in Feb. 2012 at home by a 77-76 margin
• In the conference, Akron has beat Bowling Green, Western Michigan, Toledo, Miami and Central Michigan while they lost against Ball State and at Ohio
• They are led by Sina King and Anita Brown who average 20.6 and 19.3 points, respectively
PNC Wagon Wheel Challenge
• The Challenge began for the 2011-2012 season and consists of a point system to determine the victor between rivals Kent State and Akron
• 15 sports are included in the challenge. Each sport can earn a point based on head-to-head competition
• Kent State is undefeated in the challenge winning the inaugural one 9-6 and 8-7 in 2012-2013
• The Golden Flashes made it three-in-a-row with a 8.5-6.5 victory and have a big 4-1 lead already this season
Play 4 Kay Date Coming Up
• Kent State will once again join women's basketball teams across the nation in hosting a Play 4 Kay game to raise awareness for breast cancer
• The Golden Flashes' will host their annual pink game on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m.
