Kent State is coming off a 2-1 win over Western Michigan and a 7-3 victory over Northern Illinois last weekend. Redshirt sophomore Donavan Capehart (Orient, Ohio) led the offense with a hat-trick against the Huskies, while junior forward Jenna Hellstrom (Sudbury, Ontario) added six points on two goals and two assists last weekend. Hellstrom garnered Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for her efforts. Â
Three Golden Flashes have double-digit points, with Hellstrom leading the attack with 26 points on nine goals and eight assists. Hellstrom ranks sixth in the nation in points-per-game (2.17) and seventh in assists per game (0.67). Capehart has 14 points on seven goals and sophomore Hayden Pascoe has 10 points on three goals and four assists. Kent State is the MAC's highest-scoring team at 2.25 goals per game.

The Golden Flashes sit in a tie with Miami for first place in the east division, as both teams have nine points on the season thus far.
