Gymnastics Falls to Bowling Green Saturday in Season Finale

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Kent State's gymnastics team closed out the regular season with a loss to Mid-American Conference foe Bowling Green, 195.700-195.050, on March 14th.
The Golden Flashes end the regular season with an overall record of 6-7 and 2-4 in the MAC. Kent State scored 49.050 on the vault, 48.925 on bars, 48.300 on beam and 48.775 on floor.
Leading the way for Kent State on vault was Brooke Timko and Chelsea Drooger who tied for first with a score of 9.850. Nicolle Eastman and Amiah Mims were next in line for the Flashes in a tie for fifth place, 9.800.
On bars, the Flashes saw three gymnast tie for second with a score of 9.825, in Michaela Romito, Chelsea Drooger and Brooke Timko.
Rachel Stypinski continues to shine on the balance beam, with the win today she won the beam at every MAC meet this season going 6-for-6; she finished today with a score of 9.875. Behind Stypinski, Nicolle Eastman tied for second, 9.800, as Jordan Hardison tied for fourth at 9.775.
On floor, Stypinski again continued to dominate as she posted a 9.925 for first place. Nicolle Eastman tied for fifth with a 9.750.
The Golden Flashes look to host the Mid-American Conference Championships next weekend on March 21st starting at 2pm inside the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center. Tickets are available for only $5 for adults and $4 for youth/seniors at the box office by calling (330) 672-8830.
