Volleyball Announces 2015 Spring Competition Dates

Kent, Ohio – Kent State volleyball head coach Don Gromala announced his squad's schedule for the 2015 spring season Monday (March 16) afternoon. The Golden Flashes will compete on four days in April, including a sand tournament to conclude the spring slate.
With just over a week of spring practices in the books, Kent State will continue to prepare for its first competition date on Friday, April 3 when Hiram College comes to the M.A.C. Center for drills and scrimmaging.
The Flashes will them travel to tournaments at Pittsburgh (April 11) and Oakland (April 18) before ending the spring with a sand tournament at Cleveland State (April 25).
Five starters and 11 letterwinners return from this past season's team that finished 17-14 overall and 8-8 in the Mid-American Conference. The Flashes won a MAC Tournament match for the first time since 2007 and had two wins over teams that played in the NCAA Tournament.
