Shannon Named an All-Conference Honoree

The Mid-American Conference announced Monday afternoon that Kent State senior CiCi Shannon was named to the 2015 All-Conference Third Team as selected by all 12 MAC head coaches.
The center was also named to the Second Team of College Sports Madness' All-MAC selections.
Shannon averaged 9.8 points and 8.8 rebounds this season and is ranked 3rd all-time in career blocks at Kent State with 135 in just two seasons. In conference-only games, she led the MAC by averaging 10.6 rebounds and by shooting 56% from the field. Shannon was also the conference-leader in defensive rebounds (7.2) while coming in second in offensive rebounds (3.4) and blocked shots (1.8).
The Golden Flashes begin MAC Tournament play Monday night at Eastern Michigan with tipoff coming at 5 p.m.
