DETROIT – Ford Field played host to the Mid-American Conference's 2015 Football Media Day (#MACMD15), which can be seen on ESPN3 with Michael Reghi and Dustin Fox. Look for Kent State Head Coach Paul Haynes at the 2:30 mark.
Audio interviews with Coach Haynes, defensive lineman Nate Terhune (Chagrin Falls, Ohio), offensive lineman Anthony Pruitt (Groveport, Ohio) and MAC Comissioner Jon Steinbrecher from Media Day can be heard periodically on Golden Flashes Radio on iHeartRadio.

The conference also released its preseason poll Wednesday, as chosen by league media members. The Golden Flashes were picked to finish seventh in the East. Toledo was chosen to win the MAC Championship and the West Division, while Bowling Green claimed the top spot in the East.

On Tuesday, Pruitt and Terhune helped work with 450 Detroit area kids in the MAC Youth Football Clinic inside Ford Field. Clinic participants received two free tickets to the 2015 Marathon MAC Football Championship Game, scheduled for Friday, Dec. 4 at Ford Field. Pruitt and Terhune also helped East Division players defeat the West in a friendly tug-of-war.

"Our annual Youth Football Clinic at Ford Field has become a staple within our schedule for our summer MAC Football Media Day Events here in Detroit," said Dr. Jon Steinbrecher, Mid-American Conference Commissioner. "This is an incredible event and we are proud to partner with Ford Field in hosting a free youth clinic to benefit players in Detroit in an effort to give back to the city that continues to support our Marathon MAC Football Championship Game."

Kent State players report to preseason camp on Friday, Aug. 7. The Golden Flashes' regular season begins Friday, Sept. 4 at Illinois.
