CLEVELAND, Ohio- Kent State soccer's Donavan Capehart has been named Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
Capehart, a First Team All-MAC selection a season ago, netted a goal in each of Kent State's matches this past weekend, including the game-winner against Northern Illinois Friday night. On Sunday against Western Michigan, Capehart scored an exceptional goal off a header in route to the Golden Flashes' 5-1 victory over the Broncos.Â
Capehart has now scored a goal in each of Kent State's last three matches, helping improve the Flashes' win-streak to eight matches.Â
For her career, Capehart has accumulated 18 goals, putting her in a tie for seventh all-time in Kent State history.
The Golden Flashes look to make it nine straight victories and earn a point in the Crystal Clinic Wagon Wheel Challenge as they go on the road to take on rival Akron on Thursday at 7 p.m.
