
Flashes Back on the Road Thursday at Ohio, Host CMU in ‘Dig for the Cure’ Saturday Night

KENT, Ohio — Kent State concludes its first time through the Mid-American Conference East Division Thursday night at Ohio and then returns home to host Central Michigan for the annual 'Dig for the Cure' match in support of the fight against breast cancer on Saturday.
The 'Dig for the Cure' match, which is scheduled for 6 p.m., is the only home match for the Golden Flashes (9-8, 2-2 MAC) at the M.A.C. Center during a six-match stretch to finis the first half of the conference season.

ALL-TIME VS. OPPONENTS
Kent State owns a 25-51 record all-time against Ohio. Last season, the Golden Flashes and Bobcats each won on the other's home court during the regular season and Ohio won the rubber match in the MAC Volleyball Championship semifinals in Athens. Head coach Don Gromala is 2-8 vs. Ohio, where he was a member of the coaching staff from 2004-07.
While the Flashes are 18-30-31 all-time against Central Michigan, they have three straight and 14 of the last 19 meetings dating back to the 1999 season. Head coach Don Gromala is 3-1 vs. the Chippewas.
