KENT, Ohio — The Kent State volleyball team enters the final weekend of the regular season with hopes of securing a bye to the quarterfinals in the upcoming Mid-American Conference Volleyball Championship. The Golden Flashes clinched a spot in the eight-team field by defeating Miami, 3-2, on Saturday and can be seeded anywhere from fourth to seventh in the tournament.

The Flashes seek to avenge a 3-1 loss to the Bobcats in Athens on October 6 that capped a season-worst three-match losing streak. Following a day off, the Flashes will battle an Eastern Michigan team that could be playing to extend its season on Saturday in Ypsilanti, Mich. in a match that will be broadcast on ESPN3.
