Comfort Inn-vitational Serves as Final MAC Tune-up for Golden Flashes

The Kent State volleyball team completes its non-conference season at the Comfort Inn-vitational this weekend in Morehead, Kentucky. The round-robin tournament also features Coppin State and Montana in addition to host Morehead State.
The Golden Flashes (4-6) will look to find the best combinations of players on the court with the start of the Mid-American Conference season just a week away. After winning four of five to start the season, Kent State has dropped five of its last six matches.
The weekend begins against Montana on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. The Flashes will then look for their first true road victory of the season against Morehead State at 7 p.m. An 11 a.m. match against Coppin State on Saturday will conclude the weekend.

ALL-TIME VS. OPPONENTS
Kent State defeated both Montana and Morehead State during the 2014 season. The Golden Flashes hung on for a 3-2 victory over the Grizzlies in Morgantown, West Virginia in the first ever meeting between the programs. The Flashes swept the Eagles, 3-0, in Kent to improve to 2-4 in the series. This will be the first ever meeting in Morehead. Kent State and Coppin State will play for the first time.
UP NEXT
Kent State will be back in action at the M.A.C. Center next weekend for the beginning of Mid-American Conference play. The Golden Flashes will host Buffalo on Friday, Sept. 23 and then rival Akron on Saturday, Sept. 24.
