Golden Flashes Remain on the Road for Matinee at EMU

Kent State (6-8, 0-2) will look to grab its first conference win of the season on Saturday when they take on Eastern Michigan (5-9, 0-2) in a noon game on ESPN3.

The Matchup
• Kent State is 34-27 all-time against Eastern Michigan
• The two teams last met in the Flashes' last game of the 2015-16 season as Kent State lost 73-60 in the first round of the MAC Tournament
• The Eagles also took the regular season meeting, winning 72-51 in mid January
• The past three meetings have all been played in Ypsilanti, with two of those being first round MAC Tournament matchups
• The Eagles have won the past 11 games
• The Golden Flashes last beat EMU at home in January 2009 in an 84-52 game
• Eastern Michigan opened up conference season with a 85-73 loss at Northern Illinois and most recently lost at home against Toledo, 66-49

• Through all games this season, the Golden Flashes rank 3rd in the MAC in free throw percentage and are in the top half of the conference in three-point field goal percentage, rebounding defense and offensive rebounds

• Through 14 games, Larissa Lurken remains the MAC scoring leader with 21.8 points per game

Coming Up
• Kent State returns home to the M.A.C. Center on Wednesday to host Northern Illinois at 7 p.m.
• They then begin play against MAC East opponents as they face Ohio on the road on Saturday, January 14
• On Saturday, January 21, both Kent State basketball teams will host a double header with an exciting announcement to be made between games
