
Flashes Set to Throw Down with Ohio State & Cleveland State

Kent State (5-0) heads to St. John Arena in Columbus Tuesday, for the second annual Thanksgiving Throwdown sponsored by Wrestlers in Business. The Golden Flashes will take on No. 2 Ohio State (1-0) and Cleveland State (0-0) in a non-traditional tri-meet on two mats with action set to start at 7 p.m.

History vs. Cleveland State and Ohio State
- The Golden Flashes and Vikings rivalry dates back to 1932. The Flashes lead the all-time series with the Vikings 19-8-1 and have won the last 10 meetings. At last season's Thanksgiving Throwdown, Kent State won 9-of-10 matches in 40-3 victory over Cleveland State at the M.A.C. Center. CSU's last win of the series came in January of 2004.
- Ohio State's series with Kent State dates back to 1930, with the Buckeyes leading 19-8. OSU has won the last seven meetings. The Flashes last victory came in January of 2007. Last season at the M.A.C. Center, Ohio State earned a 36-13 victory, winning 7-of-10 matches.
- Casey Sparkman and Anthony Tutolo each went 2-0 at last year's Thanksgiving Throwdown.
