KENT, Ohio - The Kent State University men's basketball team (13-10, 5-5 MAC) will look for its third straight win, and fifth over the last six games, when hosting the Bowling Green Falcons (10-13, 4-6 MAC) in the M.A.C. Center Tuesday at 7 p.m.

- The Kent State University men's basketball team will return home after a pair of road games to host the Bowling Green Falcons Tuesday.
- This is the first of two matchups between the two teams this season. The Falcons are set to host the Golden Flashes on Feb. 28. It will be Kent State's final road game of the regular season.
- The Flashes return to the M.A.C. Center after winning four of its last five games, three of which have come on the road. The team's lone loss Jan. 21 was an overtime game against Central Michigan.
- Along with a 24-point win over Toledo and a road win over Northern Illinois, the Flashes went 2-0 last week. The week started when the Flashes went up to Ypsilanti, Michigan to take on the MAC West-contending Eastern Michigan Eagles. The Flashes pulled down 59.5 percent of available offensive rebounds, a high this year, and won, 70-64.
- On Saturday, the Flashes grinded out a win over Miami on the road, 66-62. Kent State trailed in the final two minutes, but pulled out a four-point win with strong defense. Miami will face the Flashes again on Feb. 14 in the M.A.C. Center.
- Tuesday's game will be the 156th meeting between Kent State and Bowling Green. The series, which dates back to Jan. 23, 1917, will celebrate its 100th year this season.
- Bowling Green holds the all-time edge by a close margin, 84-71. Last season, the Flashes won both regular season games, but dropped their MAC Tournament game against the Falcons, 70-69.
- During the Rob Senderoff era, the Flashes hold a 6-5 edge over Bowling Green.
- Bowling Green has won two straight games and are winners of three of their last five games. The Falcons are coming off a 104-100 double overtime home win over Toledo Saturday.
- Michael Huger is in year two with the Falcons and is a 1994 Bowling Green graduate.
