KENT, Ohio-Â The Kent State University men's basketball team looks to improve to 5-0 as they host the Concord (WV) Mountain Lions at 5 p.m., in the opening slate of a Thursday-night double header.

The Kent State men's basketball improved to 4-0 on the season after a 75-68 come behind win over Purdue Fort Wayne. The last time the Flashes started 4-0 was during the 2014-15 season. After being down as much as 11 points, the Flashes were able to put together a second half comeback with the help of defensive efforts of Mitch Peterson. He led the second half efforts with three steals, four rebounds, and a key block. En route to the victory, Antonio Williams scored a game-high 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists. The Flashes had three other players score in double-figures with Troy Simons who scored (13 points) , Danny Pippen (12 points), and Anthony Roberts (11 points). Kent State shot 42.2 percent (27-64) from the floor, and 10-29 (34.5 percent) from long range. Defensively, the Flashes held the Mastodons to 30 percent (3-10) from long range in the second half.
