
Flashes Travel to Annapolis for Navy Classic

KENT, OHIO- The Golden Flashes hit the road this weekend, heading to Annapolis, Maryland to take part in the Navy Classic hosted by the United States Naval Academy.
Kent State is no stranger to the Navy Classic, having participated in the Classic every year since the 2012-13 season. The Golden Flashes have finished in the top half of the Classic each year with a victory in the 2012 season and top-five finishes in 2015 and 2016.
This year will be the largest Classic in the history of Navy Wrestling with 18 teams scheduled to appear. Along with Kent State, Air Force, American, Brown, Bucknell, Campbell, The Citadel, Cleveland State, Edinboro, George Mason, Lock Haven, Michigan State, Navy, Ohio, Old Dominion, Oregon State, Rutgers and Virginia Tech are all scheduled to appear.
With 18 teams wrestling, the following schedule is an estimate of what to expect on Saturday:
10:00 am - preliminary rounds
2:30 pm - semifinals
5:00 pm – finals
Admission to the event is FREE but fans are encouraged to get their early due to the restrictions on getting into the Naval Yard. Fans will need to park outside the grounds and take a free shuttle in. All parking information can be found here

LOOKING AHEAD
The Golden Flashes will be off for the Thanksgiving holiday and finals. Next up will be a trip to Vegas and the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on December 6-th and 7th
