
Plude, Lippowitsch Earn Victories on Senior Day

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State gymnastics team honored its four seniors today at the Kent State Quad against North Carolina, Rutgers and Ball State. The Golden Flashes finished in third place with a score of 192.550.
Senior Kennedy Plude concluded her M.A.C. Center career with a first-place finish on beam with a score of 9.875. Fellow senior Sarah Lippowitsch tied for first place on bars with a 9.825.
Senior Dara Williams finished third on vault with a 9.825 and ninth on bars with a 9.700, while senior Nuriya Mack competed exhibition on beam.
Sophomore Abby Fletcher finished in third place on floor with a 9.900, while freshman Cami Klein finished second on beam with a 9.825. Junior Jade Brown and sophomore Toshi Richard each recorded a season-high 9.850 on floor.
Ball State took home the Kent State Quad team title with a 195.325. The Cardinals were led by Arden Hudson, who tied for first on bars with a 9.825.
Rutgers finished in second with a score of 195.175 behind first-place finishes by Jenna Rizkalla on vault and Michelle Amoresano on bars. North Carolina finished in fourth place with a score of 192.325 despite three Tarheels finishing in the top-five on floor.
Up Next
Kent State will travel to Ypsilanti, Michigan to take on Eastern Michigan for its final regular season meet on Friday, March 15. Competition is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. The Flashes will then travel to DeKalb, Ill., for the MAC Championships on March 23.
