Men’s Track and Field Claims Four Victories Saturday at Campbell/Wright Invitational

AKRON, Ohio — The Kent States men's track and field team closed the regular season with victories in four events at the Campbell/Wright Invitational on Saturday.
The Golden Flashes opened the day by winning the 4x100-meter relay. The team of Brandon Wilson, Xavier Williams, Brandon Harris and Zavien Parker finished in a season-best 41.65 seconds.
Trevor Detillion threw 179'-2" to win the discus for the third time this season. TJ Lawson unleashed a throw of 149'-5" to place third and beat his previous personal-best mark by more than 10 feet.
Anthony Milliner won the triple jump with a mark of 47'-0.75", while Da'One Jordan finished runner-up with a top jump of 44'-0.50". Jordan leaped 22'-8.25" to win the long jump.
In the pole vault, Christian Champen cleared 16'-8" to place second. Ryan Demaline and DJ Ohlson added third-place finishes. Demaline threw 54'-8" in the shot put and Ohlson cleared 6'-4.75" in the high jump.
Kent State had three runners take third on the track. Xavier Williams ran a personal-best 11.00 in the 100-meter dash, Shaquille Perry clocked a 22.92 in the 200-meter dash and Devin Snowden posted a personal-best 54.88 in the 400-meter hurdles.
The Golden Flashes will compete at the 2019 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 9-11 in Muncie, Indiana.
