
Flashes Earn 90-68 Victory to Begin Canadian Tour

VANCOUVER, B.C. — Kent State earned a 90-68 victory over VK Select in the first contest during its exhibition tour to Canada on Saturday evening.
The Golden Flashes scored 30 points in each of the middle two periods and led 82-44 heading into the final 10 minutes. Sophomore Asiah Dingle led the way with 17 points, nine steals and seven assists. Junior Linsey Marchese posted a double-double, finishing with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Freshman Katie Shumate added 13 points, while sophomores Lindsey Thall (12 points) and Hannah Young (10 points) were also in double-digits.
The Flashes return to action Sunday at the University of British Columbia with tip scheduled for 6 p.m. ET. Live stats will be provided for the game.
