Breitenstine Named MAC Golfer of the Week

KENT, Ohio- Kent State freshman Cade Breitenstine was named the Mid-American Conference Men's Golfer of the Week on Thursday following his standout performance at the Inverness Intercollegiate.

Breitenstine's performance helped Kent State earn its third-straight top-10 finish of the season, while also competing with three teams ranked in the top-15. The freshman finished tied for 11th with a 3-over 216 score. He posted a career-low 3-under 68 in the opening round with the help of six total birdies, five of which were in a row. He posted consistent rounds of 74 in rounds two and three. Breitenstine led Kent State with 10 total birdies for the tournament.
