Kent State Cross Country Heads to NIU Huskie Challenge

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State cross country teams head to DeKalb, Ill., for the 2019 NIU Huskie Challenge. The women's 6K will begin at 6 p.m., with the men's 8K following at 6:45 p.m.
Both Golden Flashes teams finished third in the Pitt Panther Opener, with Clark Bookman earning a fifth-place finish to lead the men. Drew Johnson (8th) and Alex Stamper (10th) each recorded their first career top-ten finishes. The women were paced by Maddie Dunlap, who finished in fourth place. Nicole Fleming earned her first career top-ten finish, placing sixth.
The men's team will be joined by Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Central Michigan, Toledo, Bowling Green, Illinois-Chicago, Western Illinois, Chicago State, Harper College, Illinois Institute of Technology, Sauk Valley Community College, while the women's event will also include host Northern Illinois.
