Flashes Finish Third at NIU Huskie Challenge

DeKalb, Ill. – The Kent State cross country teams were in action for the second straight week at the NIU Huskie Challenge. The Golden Flashes finished in fifth place in the women's 6K and third place in the men's 8K.
Clark Bookman led the way for Kent State in the men's race, finishing in second place (26:12.1) and earning his second top-five finish of the season. Alex Stamper grabbed his first top-10 finish of the year (26:42.5), while Drew Johnson finished in 12th place (26:45.2) and recorded his second top-15 finish of the season. Justin McKeal secured a career-high 18th-place finish (26:54.8).
Nicole Fleming paced the women, finishing in eighth place (22:51.8) and securing her second top-10 finish of the season. In addition to Fleming, three other Flashes finished in the top-30. Leah Lisle finished in 18th place (23:17.9), Rachel Banks finished in 23rd place (23:37.7) and Jaimie Adams finished in 26th place (23:44.2).
